THE STUDIO
Liminal Audio is a bespoke mastering studio based in Dartmoor, Devon, built to provide a highly accurate and focused critical listening environment for artists and labels seeking thoughtful, dynamic and emotionally engaging masters.
Centred around an ATC monitoring system and purpose built acoustics, the studio combines a flexible hybrid workflow with carefully selected analogue and digital processing to deliver clarity, depth and confident translation across a wide range of listening systems, while preserving the character and intent of the original material.
THE ENGINEER
Liminal Audio is run by mastering engineer Shaun Crook, whose background spans over 20 years across mastering, live sound, recording and production.
Shaun previously worked for nearly a decade at London’s internationally respected Cafe OTO, while also working as a long term audio collaborator for Data Discs, where he was responsible for mastering and audio preparation across a wide range of internationally recognised soundtrack reissues.
Each project is approached individually, balancing technical accuracy with musical sensitivity to create masters that feel cohesive, engaging and true to the original work.
